The Watch

A bulked metal stone with buttons everywhere,
Tells me the time so I’m aware.
Beautiful and shiny wherever I go,
On my arm so that I know.
As black as night,
And as bright as light.
As hard as a rock and smooth as a stone,
As precious as my small phone.
Green buttons and a black strap,
Navigates the time like a map.
Tells the time day or night,
And when I am sleeping its alarm might give a fright.
I think it's water proof. I’m not that sure,
But I dare not to throw it in the watery shore.
Never rusty, you see,
It’s water resistant for me.
For if I lost it I would be devastated,
And maybe even frustrated.
It's valuable and mine,
For the rest of time.
