It never leaves my sight,
Each point is a time shared with you:

At three you were there when I danced at my first show,
With joy in your eyes you watched me grow.
At six you were there when I wrote your name,
I coloured it in, and you put it by your bed tucked away in a frame.

By the time I was nine we skipped down the empty street, stopping by to use the outdoor gym,
You laughed at me, I laughed at you, we shared love unconditionally.
Finally when the clock struck twelve I blossomed into the next chapter of my life,
Even though you weren’t here you words felt like your presence was near.

As its hands tick away it stays close by, it takes me to you,
And I know this watch transcends all time.
