Tranquility in the Forest

I stepped into the forest,
What a sight to see,
The birds and butterflies bounded down the hill, dodging the burrows and the trees.
And further down, towards the stream, olive trees danced in the autumn wind,
like a lone dancer facing the audience, almost being blown down by fear,
Their leaves floated down in the breeze like a bird gliding over the calm ocean.
I skipped into the stream, felt the water flow past my leg, a dog loose from it’s leash
I splashed and got wet, what a sight to see,
All the other animals splashing with me.
A howl here and a chirp there, tranquillity, fun and happiness,
The essence of a good time,
The winds softened into a breeze,
Drifting the waft of sweet nectar,
What a sight to see.
