Trapped Inside My Mind

The vines twist and writhe around the tree, strangling its life. 

That tree is me, 

Strangled by the twisting vines of cruelty. 

Gasping and fighting and living and dying - 

Making it through one agonizing second after another.

Enduring the unendurable,

Bearing the unbearable,

Entrapped. 

A wrought iron cage,

At the center of life's maze,

Is it destined to be my grave,

For all eternity. 

An endless void,

Amongst an endless abyss,

I find some sense of bliss.

In the endless unknowing,

My heartbeat slowing,

Enduring the unendurable,

Bearing the unbearable,
