Trees are Life

Trees are life,

Life is death,

Charity is poverty,

The wealthy become broke,

Words become fists,

Flying is falling,

The young turn to old,

Books become screens, 

Losing is winning,

Hegemony becomes suzerainty,

The bright become dim,

Just like the rest of us,

“Our trees need saving”

Some protagonists would say,

But everyone else just turned them away.
