It’s complicated and confusing, not one person can fathom,

But that’s what makes it beautiful, it’s crazy and random.

So is everything else important, love, hurt and anger,

We don’t understand how each can feel like a dagger.

Unappreciated, the world goes, the beauty unseen by so many,

But I’ve never had that problem, I understand plenty.

Nature’s the poison I pick, I don’t want your excuses,

The phone in her hand, the privilege she abuses.

Not a look out the window, as the ocean passes her by,

The beauty’s right in front of her, yet she closes her eyes.

Refuses to look, that’s the generation we’re in,

Nature’s phenomenon overlooked, where the real connection begins.

Colours paint the horizon, stars dance in the sky,

And I admire every atom, while others let them pass by.
