Watching

Everyday ​I see them die, everyday we say goodbye 

I’m just a bush with berries

While they bleed sap as red as cherries

the worst thing that’s happened to me

eventually let me free

I thought they were strong

but I was so very wrong

It’s like they put on a show 

so we don’t see their health is so low

every day I see them die, every day we say goodbye
