Water and Rain, They are Part of a Day

Waves smoothly crashing, like a knife through butter,
Gleaming butterflies come out to flutter
The bees are pollinating, to gift us their honey,
Suddenly, rain trickles down, it is no longer sunny
Clouds bluff up the sky, birds no longer sing,
As we jump in the puddles, oh the joy that it brings
We’re celebrating water, as it nourishes our earth,
Rain’s fond of its friends, they’re what water is worth
Kangaroos hugging joeys, koalas clinging to trees,
Fish in the ocean and whales in the seven seas
As we watch the sun come out, after a drizzle of rain,
Plants begin to grow, because they have been watered again
Rain is important, just like our lives,
But now that the rain has stopped, the sun arrives
Birds chirp again, and begin to fly away,
There are no more umbrellas, this is the best day
Clouds disappear, you can see the blue sky,
The grass was once wet; now it is dry
Kookaburras are laughing, fruit bats are sleeping,
Leftover water dripping, tree branches creaking
