Water Falls

Whispers of echoing insects buzz in the background,
Fuzzy green moss blankets jagged tracks and rocks,
Trees stand tall like soldiers,
Camouflaging and shielding the forest floor.
Golden teardrops glimmer gold in the singing sunlight,
Falling. Falling in a constant rhythm. Following the same beat,
Ice cold water trickles down my face; softly like raindrops,
Filling. Filling me at sonic speed. Flooding my body with joy.
Rocks are like history books corroded by running water.
Vibrant green and rough marks the texture of the waterfalls,
Layer by layer the rocks create a soft stairway,
Moss dances with the melody of the water as it climbs down.
Tears fall, sunlight flooding my heart in golden glitter,
Pain and problems perish,
Water floods in like blood pulsing through my veins,
Joy and pain both rise and fall like liquid ripples.
Silky mud sinks with each step,
An earthy scent fills the atmosphere,
Water droplets create a continuous circular tattoo on the Earth,
Water-falls, as it calls for a moment of reflection. Just for a moment.
