Waterfall

As the water rages its way down
A flock of birds come out of the mist
It looked as if they were going to drown
Then I saw a platypus come out chasing an otter
He was lonely
and wanted a friend
If only there was a way his heart would just mend
A water dragon then dove
Dove into the water
And as it dove
She was holding her daughter
Big rocks
Smooth, shiny boulders
On one of them were my shoes and socks
While I counted my dollars
I put my feet in the water
I felt the cold
Of the fresh water
But don’t blame me for I never knew of the waterfall’s beauty
For I, too, cannot be controlled
