We Are Here Because OF It

Why would you want to spoil some of the world’s most beautiful places
By being involved in one of the worst on the earth we stand on today?
LITTERING
I am writing this poem to protest about the lack of bins in public areas
Bins may be gross, but we need to use them while we still got’em
It’s actually not all our fault you see
The council lacks them like how rude people lack kindness.
Have a look at a very popular park you will be lucky to find even two bins
But we still need to play our part in it
If we don’t litter it will help us keep fit, it is like going on a treadmill
There are still a few things that can stop litter like fast food places using less plastic
You can even stop littering from your house by recycling and reusing plastics.
Every time I place my foot into nature I think where on earth are the bins?
I see animals come out of large hollows in the trees and the ground diggers remove themselves from deep, dark burrows
Only to step into trash-infested land
It is disgusting and horrible and it is all because of us
We need to take care of nature because it is why we are here.
