We Are The Blame

Her land is decaying and stained with ash.
Her waters, once blue, are dyed with red.
The air is now a poisonous haze.
Her colour, once so vibrant, has faded to grey.
One by one, her creations disappear.
Dropping to the ground, just like flies.
As Mother Nature slowly fades away.
And each day, she screams for help.
But it seems as if everyone chooses to ignore her.

We are the blame, for our mother’s pain.
Our kind are the selfish sociopaths,
Who caused the end of the world.
Leaving footsteps of destruction behind.
We’ve tainted the earth with our dirty hands.
We’ve destroyed her beauty, killed her children.
Now we’re running out of time to fix what we’ve done.
How long will it be until she’s fully gone?
Mother Nature, we’re sorry.
