Weakened wattle

The golden wattle leaves dance in the sky
How they are up so very high
This wattle tree is special to me
For all of Australia to see
As the people start to rise
You can hear the wattle's cries
As I sit with this special tree
Nothing else is here, I am free
Brrrrr goes the chainsaw
The wattle is no more
Off to find another wattle
That wattle tree is just a fossil
And I will plant an Australian wattle
And as I sit, one trillion wattle trees will topple
This special little Australian tree is in danger
For future generations we should retain her.
