They’ve named me Uluru and Ayers Rock
And sometimes they call me a mountain.
When you’re as old as I you might find
You have many such names as well.
I’ve seen much in this so called barren place,
I’ve seen more life than you ever have or will.
I’ve seen red skies and blue.
I’ve seen dark skins and light
And all the shades between.
And when you’ve stood for years upon a hundred years
You will have seen, as I’ve seen,
That no place,
No people,
No creature,
Is quite so different inside.
