Withered

I heard water leak but not on me
“When will this end” I screamed to a withered tree
I started to shrivel, to doubt
Will I ever make it out
The sky grew burnt, with more colours than before,
Bloody orange sky was that all,
The heat kept growing,
As I tried to keep hoping
Sapphire droplets please fall down
As the day drifted, I did too
I saw a man trudge over, to pour a pail of water on me
I didn’t give up, I will live to tomorrow
The bloody orange sky started to fade
As the new ocean sky came back
It started to cool, as my leaves did too, as the day started to fade
